Overall Score

Finally the time for elections in Delhi has come near. Ruled by the congress for more than 15 years, Delhi has again become a battle ground for the parties, and the toughest question of the hour is, who will win these elections? Even though it is a fact that a Modi wave is going on in the whole country, the biggest competitor of the Bhartiya Janta Party, BJP, the Aam Admi Party is also having a good support as far as BJP is concerned. Throughout the news, everyday, a key focus is being made on the proceedings that are going on in the elections in Delhi. Many things have changed from the last time that Aam Admi party contested the elections and had formed a short period government. The key figure of the party, the former IPS officer Ms. Kiran Bedi, has left the party in favour of joining the BJP. Not only that, she has also been appointed as the chief minister candidate by the Bhartiya Janta Party. Her quitting the party and joining the BJP has been a matter of deep contemplation and has been approved and criticized equally.

At the present moment, rallies are at their peaks in all the constituencies of Delhi. India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi as also been seen in joining his fellow part member in going from place to place with the election rallies. Politics can be definitely called a modern time war, and the victory or the defeat of party is entirely in the hands of the public as India is a democratic country. Most of the people make the decision of choosing their leaders based on the images that they have formed of them, by either looking at the work of the party or by the medium of newspaper and television media. The politicians knowing this fact keep on trying to get a one up over their opponents.

Both the Aam Admi Party and the Bhartiya Janta Party have been on the public radar and each and every reaction and allegations are being observed carefully by the voters. Recently, Mr Arvind Kejriwal, who is the leader of the AAP was questioned on his morale and the objectives that he is so vocal about. The BJP spokesperson asked the chief of AAP about the SUV’s that he had ordered for all the people of his government when he was in power, as this opposed the idea that they are just common men.

According to the pre-election polls that have been conducted by various prominent media channels, no clear winner is yet apparent.
